How totals are calculated

Quantity × price, minus the item discount, summed into the subtotal. The invoice discount is then taken off and tax is calculated on the discounted amounts, so discounts always apply before tax. Shipping is added after tax, and payments are subtracted to give the balance. Amounts are rounded to the currency's decimals. Tax results are a convenience only; check the rules that apply to you, as Lumara can't guarantee compliance with any country's tax law.

How this invoice maker works

Everything you type is calculated in your browser as you go. Each line is quantity times price, less any item discount. The invoice discount comes off next, tax is worked out on the discounted amounts, and shipping and payments already received are applied last.

You enter the tax rate yourself, so check what applies to you. Lumara can't guarantee that a result meets the rules of any particular country.
